Destiny Entertainment Gospel Records – Presents… Brother Art’s highly anticipated third solo album (yet untitled); featuring Brother Art’s signature versatile sound of: Contemporary Worship, R& B, Hip-Hop, House with a touch of rock. Brother Art – With a desire to draw all people, ages, and cultures together through his unique yet soulful style of worship and praise, he manages to reach the traditional and urban listeners. With no desire to be placed in any one category – Brother Art’s plea is to break down cultural barriers for Kingdom building with the hope of touching souls in and outside the church walls. This new project will display the artistic illustration of Brother Art and the Destiny Camp with their extraordinary sound. “On the previous album [REAL LOVE], I was able to share my new found love for Christ, as I am forever grateful and thankful for the opportunity to see during that season. That album is still a very impotant part of my life; reminding me of a chapter in my life that I had to endure as I walked through the fire and storms. But with this new project, God has allowed me to open up and step into my calling on another level. I've been able to bring together different people with different styles to praise the same Lord and God - together. I've even included my youth choir on a couple of tracks. In this time between recordings, I've been able to break away from the old traditional views and opinions of others and grow more in Christ. I’ve not only grown spiritually, but I’ve also grown musically!” When asked about the writers, vocalist, musicians, and additional producers for this project, Brother Art states: “With every journey, we’ll endure many trials. Although we started out with many others, God had to remove those that did not have the vision. The writers, vocalist, musicians, and producers were perfectly chosen through much prayer and even fasting, as were the songs; and with this one [album], I take you inside the depths of my heart and release the vision…continuing my love-journey toward Heaven. There were musicians however that did not make the cut due to their personal motives revealed. But, my ultimate goal is to express God's love through music. My wife, Wenda, calls this an album of love songs. As I share my world today, I leave behind yesterday and move forward toward the mark one day at a time!” Have there been any challenges during the process of this project? Yes indeed! You see, I've found when God gives you a vision, we must remember that the vision might not be for everyone. There are those that proclaim the Gospel, and speak about their personal beliefs in God, but sometimes waver in spirit. The Word of God warns us about these type of people. If I don't trust in God for myself, I'd also inherit that spirit of doubt and failure which will cause me to quit. This is just a language that I refuse to speak into my life. All I can do is pray with love for those that don't believe. When asked about future projects and ideas for DEG Records: “We have a few projects and ventures prepared for the New Year. However, God is in control and His timing is everything. Also scheduled for release within the New Year is the Holy Hip-Hop project by, Producer, Songwriter, and Artist, Enchanted. This project is at the finishing stages, and I expect big things for this group of young radical Christians. The new album will feature guest spots by; Wenda, JLC, Enchanted, Darrin Carter, Melissa Linn, Lahla Hadiya, Willie Norman, Sharayah Norman, Stephanie Fountain, and many guest musicians.
